DESCRIPTION:The District invites volunteers of all ages to roll up their sleeves and help refresh downtown during its 2026 Spring Cleanup on Saturday\, April 11\, from 10–11 am. “Volunteers are essential to everything we do\,” Executive Director of The District Brianna Rivera. “We are deeply thankful for the individuals and groups who step up to help care for our downtown and support The District’s ongoing success.” \n\n\n\nGrab a friend\, coworker\, family member—or bring the kids—and head downtown to Parking Lot I (located on 6th street between Maine and Hampshire Streets). Volunteers will receive an assigned area block(s) within our 92 block area\, along with trash bags and gloves\, as teams work together to spruce up areas in The District. \n\n\n\nTo say thank you\, Platt Daddy and Quincy Brewing Company have once again partnered to provide a light lunch and a drink for participants following the cleanup and will be served at Quincy Brewing Co. \n\n\n\nEveryone is encouraged to sign up in advance at bit.ly/DistrictSpringCleanUp to help with planning and lunch counts. DESCRIPTION:Mrs. Roper Romp is designed to raise funds for Safe Moves for Seniors while embodying the free-spirited style and joyous nature of the one and only Helen Roper! This is a one of a kind pub crawl taking place at various bars in The District. All are welcome to join in the fun. \n\n\n\nOrder your tickets\, grab your caftan\, and find some shades – Downtown Quincy is about to meet Helen Roper. Cost is $25 and tickets can be ordered through Facebook at 644 Maine. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Safe Moves for Seniors Quincy which helps those 60 and above living at or below poverty level move with dignity. \n\n\n\n644 Maine is covering all card processing fees. DESCRIPTION:The Quincy Medical Group Foundation’s Bridge the Gap to Health Race will return for its 26th year on Saturday\, May 9\, 2026. This event continues its tradition of uniting the community for a cause that strengthens and uplifts local families. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the Foundation is proud to partner with Connect Child and Family Solutions\, an organization dedicated to supporting children in foster care and their biological families. The 2026 Bridge the Gap Grant will help fund the renovation of Connect’s visitation space located at 435 Hampshire St. in Quincy. The redesigned space will provide a welcoming\, family-centered environment where children can build and maintain meaningful connections with their parents during the foster care process. It will feature areas for families to share meals\, play\, and create memories together. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, a portion of the funds raised will support the QMG Foundation’s ongoing initiatives to provide financial assistance to nonprofit organizations that directly impact our community\, with a focus on community development\, health\, and youth initiatives. \n\n\n\nParticipants can choose to join the 5K Walk/Run\, 10K\, Half Marathon\, or the Paul Arndt Kids Fun Run. Runners will cross the Bayview Bridge into Missouri and then loop back across Memorial Bridge into Illinois\, hitting two states in one race! The route will also pass through Maine Street and circle Washington Park\, allowing participants to enjoy the beauty of Downtown Quincy.
