Tipton Set to Create Show-Stopping Main Course for The District’s 10th Annual Feast

The District’s 10th annual Feast in the Heart of Quincy Farm-to-Table Fundraiser Dinner, presented by Quincy Medical Group, will bring 200 guests together around one extraordinary table on 6th Street Sunday, September 13. This year, one of the evening’s most anticipated courses will come from Head Chef Jared Tipton–owner of 8te Open and Atlas’ Slice–who is looking forward to creating a memorable main course using some of the finest ingredients available from local farmers and producers.

The evening begins with cocktail hour from 4:30–5:30pm, featuring signature cocktails, locally-made Quincy Brewing Co. beers, and coffee drinks by Electric Fountain Brewing served outside of QBCo. Guests will then take their seats at one long table stretching down 6th Street, near 8te Open, Atlas’ Slice, Shandi’s and Quincy Brewing Company, for a five-course dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for Feast in the Heart of Quincy are $200 per pair and are sold in pairs to accommodate the event’s unique seating arrangement. All proceeds benefit The District and The District Quincy Farmers Market. Tickets are available at bit.ly/2026District_Feast.

“Feast is such a unique opportunity because it brings our community together around food while directly supporting the people who grow and produce so much of what makes our community special,” said The District Executive Director Brianna Rivera. “This year, we are especially excited to have Jared creating our main course. He has a real passion for his craft, and we’re excited to see what he creates for our guests.”

Tipton will bring his culinary expertise to the main course, creating what The District anticipates will be a standout beef dish for this year’s Feast. With local ingredients at the heart of the event, Tipton is embracing the opportunity to build a dish that highlights the quality and versatility of ingredients produced right here in the Quincy community.

The remaining courses will showcase the talents of an impressive lineup of local chefs and food producers. Chef Gus Siebers of Boodalu will prepare the appetizer course, Tiramisu will oversee the salad course, and Shandi Long, owner of Shandi’s, will create the evening’s dessert. The bread course will feature a selection of locally produced breads, cheeses, jams and other items from vendors at The District Quincy Farmers Market.

“As always, each course will include ingredients sourced directly from farmers and vendors at The District Quincy Farmers Market,” said Rivera. “And this year, we’re also incredibly grateful to Niemann Foods for donating the beef for our main course. It’s another great example of local businesses coming together to support our farmers, our market and The District.”

The Feast is more than a dinner—it is a fundraiser that directly supports The District and The District Quincy Farmers Market. By sourcing as many ingredients as possible from Market vendors, the event helps put money back into the hands of local farmers, producers and small businesses while showcasing the incredible variety available at the Market.

In addition to the dinner, a public online silent auction will offer a variety of items and experiences, including sporting event tickets, experiences sponsored by District businesses and more. The auction will be open to both Feast guests and the general public beginning September 9 and will close September 13 at 7 p.m. Additional auction details will be announced soon.
