MayFest 2024

Join Quincy Brewery & Arts and DB2 Events in partnership with Quincy Brewing Company for our 2nd Annual MayFest at the Dick Brothers Brewery complex in the heart of Quincy, IL. The event is free and open to the public.

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Homebrew Competition (Brewers must register in advance – Attendees are $10/person

The event continues a tradition of celebrating Quincy’s German Heritage and pays homage to the Brewery’s History. MayFest is a family-friendly sister event to Oktoberfest held in the fall with a focus on craft breweries and partnering with local organizations to bring fun family activities throughout the day.


Mayfest (or Maifest in Germany) is the traditional German celebration of the arrival of spring. Mayfest is still celebrated throughout Germany with the maibaum (maypole) decorated to show off the history and crafts of the town. Mayfest, similar to Oktoberfest, has now become a popular celebration throughout the world.
